Mr. Peter Watson

Senior Director, Consulting Services

Mr. Peter Watson is a Senior Director of Consulting Services for META Solutions. He is responsible for managing regulatory compliance projects and providing guidance on practical approaches for regulatory compliance. He not only manages staff involved in these support projects and the project delivery itself, but also participates in development of key deliverables. Mr. Watson has also participated in regulatory compliance evaluation audits and the scoping of remediation efforts required. He has over 20 years of operational and project management experience in the science and technology- based fields, almost 10 years of which have been devoted to support for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

Before joining META Solutions, Mr. Watson managed the Princeton, NJ office of RWD Technologies, Inc. and its pharmaceutical industry-focused consulting projects. Serving as project director on key client engagements, he participated in and supervised numerous projects supporting regulatory compliance, process excellence, and optimized technology use in clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing operations. His noteworthy projects included improving and supporting the clinical data management operations at a top-five pharmaceutical company, coordinating the multi-year transition from paper to EDC clinical operations for a major pharmaceutical company, implementing document management systems at several pharmaceutical and biotech companies, delivering both traditional instructor-based and web-based training for regulated activities, and validating regulated computer systems. Specific deliverables that Mr. Watson and his teams have produced include validation documentation, SOPs, work instructions, training materials, position white papers, process mapping, and requisite project management documentation. Additionally, Mr. Watson attained designation as Certified Project Manager while at RWD Technologies.

Prior to his work at RWD, Mr. Watson was involved in applied technology as a small business owner and US patent holder in industrial monitoring, and in science and math education as a member of senior management of the Science and Technology Museum of Atlanta,
Mr. Watson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Antioch College. He is a member of the Drug Information Association (DIA).
